How I did this Week

What a busy week!

I didn't do much grocery shopping this week, just one trip to Walgreens to get my free after rebate items (pictured above). I went on lunch today to get the items before everybody else. I used the $10 off $30 coupon for today and rolled over my first purchase with my Walgreens gift card. So for everything pictured above it was $0 OOP and $22.32 on the gift card. My Mom was very excited that she will be getting 3 of the 6 items this month that I purchased.

I had two days off of work this week, and spent both of them completely cleaning out my walk-in pantry. Yes, it was that dirty that it took me two days! I wish I would have taken a "before" picture to share.

My pantry is a catch all for my stuff. It has food storage, wine storage, vacuum storage, wrapping paper storage, and all the presents that I buy my kids throughout the year end up there too. So after cleaning everything out, I put everything back in and organized it all. I can actually walk into the walk-in pantry now!

I work everyday until Wednesday, so I will probably be making a list for Jeff to do the shopping this week.

How I used my $5/$20 Walgreens Coupon

Well here is how I ended up using my $5/$20 coupon for Walgreens today.

We were almost out of dishwasher soap, so I got 2 boxes of Electrasol. One Air Wick Fresh Matic, Tums Quik Pak, and 10 seed packets.

Here is how it broke down:

FREE INK REFILL APRIL 2ND

Get in to Walgreens for free ink refills at Walgreens on April 2, 2008. They do not refill any Epson or Canon cartridges, but they do fill a number of Lexmark, HP, and Dell.

Call your local Walgreens to find out if they fill your cartridge.

If you did not get yours in the Sunday Paper you can print it here. You can also check the list to see if it will work for your ink cartridge.

You get 1 color OR black free refill per person so if you need two cartridges filled, bring a friend or you have to pay for the second one.

Also, this deal is VERY popular, so don't go in on free day thinking you'll get your cartridge back soon. It's usually returned to you later that day, even up to 24 hours-3+ days for busier stores.

The Walgreens April EasySaver begins on March 28 and the March EasySaver ends March 29, so today and tomorrow there is a two-day overlap of the deals. Here are some worth mentioning:

From Sarah:
Scott and Cottonelle 4 packs are on sale this week at Walgreen's for 2 for $5, with the 7 day in-ad coupon. The April EasySaver Catalog has a rebate for $1 back when you buy two Scott or Cottonelle 4 packs. With the in ad coupon and rebate, the cost is brought down to 2 for $4.
There are coupons for $1 off Scott Extra Soft 4 pack or larger that were in the Sunday paper last week. If you don't have two of these, you can print them off at coupons.com or the Scott website.

Now the price is brought down to 2 for $2 or $.25 a roll! Hot dog! Remember, this deal is only good March 28th and 29th!
